An Ordinary Shabbat
Saturday was yet another regular day, accompanied by the usual (more or less successful)self-improvement struggle. I made another sea-food pizza from the remaining dough for breakfast, this time adding just a tiny bit of pepper and some other spices – it paid off, the taste was notably better than the first time. After that I dedicated a better part of the morning and afternoon to recreation of my “Z” logo.
The result was a 512x512 pixel image – you can see its shrunk version in my profile picture area. I tried to stick to my beloved symmetry and therefore used some basic elements, hidden within the image – I am most proud of successfully drawing golden ratio ends of “Z” sign, which are actually meant to be seen as maelstroms of opposite energies, emerging from eternity on one side and traveling through the sign to sink back into the abyss. Looking at it from this perspective, the whole logo can be seen as an upgraded equivalent of Yin-Yang.
Due to yellow-blue and black-white combinations being mutually exclusive, the interaction between them is represented by softened edges, allowing them to spill into each other. This is of course by no means necessary to show the coexistence of colors but does give the logo a soft, warm feel (and covers up some of my drawing glitches).
However, despite the work I had with it I am not yet satisfied with its look and will likely make additional changes – thanks to constructive criticism by _The_Man_.
After finishing the logo I spent whole afternoon on the internet, doing something that I’ll present within the next few days. I concluded Saturday with my running routine, this time introducing a new feature – sprint! It seems that reading all the WikiHow running articles is very helpful indeed!
